Attention! You need to replace your Damascus card before the age of 25 or you will be fined RM20!
According to Article 3 of the National Registration Act 1990 (amended in 2007), all Malaysian citizens are required to apply for a Malaysian Card from the National Registration Office when they reach the age of 12! At the same time, the card holder must also renew the card between the age of 18 and 25 years old, otherwise he/she will be fined RM20! Failure to renew will result in an annual fine of RM20!
This is because as time goes by, citizens are likely to change slightly in appearance and in order not to fall behind in the gap, they have to renew their RM20 card again!
