You can’t expire your license for too long or you may need to retake it!

Attention all Malaysian driver’s license holders! According to the Malaysian Land Transport Authority, if people do not renew their expired licenses within a certain period of time, this will result in them having to face a license retest.

Every Malaysian driver’s license has an expiration date and once it expires, it must be renewed or you will not be allowed to drive. If a license holder does not renew his or her license within a specific period, the license will be cancelled. Affected persons must take a new driving test.
