Many people suffer from side effects such as fever, headache and muscle pain after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine. Some people take painkillers before getting the vaccine.
But the doctor didn’t recommend medicine.
Dr Tseng Hsien Cho, the chief physician of Raffles Medical, said doctors would not build it, Mediacorp English news channel CNA reported
Participants take any pain medication without developing symptoms.
Here are some suggestions from Dr Tseng:
- After vaccination, people should move their arms to improve blood circulation and relieve pain in their arms.
- Eat something before you get vaccinated and make sure you get plenty of water. But don’t drink too much water, which could cause the case of swelling or oedema, simply drink water as usual.
- Regular exercise, a healthy balanced diet and adequate sleep help to improve the effectiveness of vaccines. But before vaccinating, dairy exercise does not improve an individual’s immune function.
- Chronic alcoholism would “definitely” affect one’s immune system and “dampen a person’s immunity” to COVID-19. But having “a glass or two of alcohol” would not affect one’s immunity or the vaccine’s efficacy.
Make sure you know when you get vaccinated!
