According to the foreign media “WABetaInfo”, WhatsApp will launch a voting function to make groups more useful.
The latest beta version of WhatsApp has revealed that the WhatsApp chat platform is offering a Create Poll feature in groups. As seen in the screenshot of the WhatsApp poll feature, users can ask a poll question with up to 12 poll options and group members can choose from predefined answers.
The poll will be conducted only in WhatsApp groups and will be encrypted end-to-end, meaning that only people in the group will be able to see the poll and the results.
WhatsApp has worked hard over the past few years to improve the group chat experience, trying to keep up with competing platforms by introducing group descriptions, catch-up features, one-way messaging options, and protections for users who are repeatedly added to groups they have left.
