WhatsApp will stop supporting iOS 10 and iOS 11 devices from October 24, 2022.
Only the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5C are currently running iOS 10 and iOS 11, while all other Apple devices can be upgraded to iOS 12 or above. iPhone 5s users are also advised to upgrade to iOS 12 in order to continue using WhatsApp.
According to the WhatsApp, WhatsApp is currently supported on iPhones running iOS 12 or above, and Android phones running Android 4.1 or above. JioPhone and JioPhone 2 running KaiOS 2.5.0 or above are also supported systems.
WhatsApp notes that prior to discontinuing support for the developed operating system, WhatsApp will send advance notification and remind users to upgrade.
