Tesla, approved to import pure electric vehicles to Malaysia last month (March 2023), has started recruiting locally and has openly recruited up to 10 types of jobs on the company website. According to Tesla’s global recruitment website, the company is currently recruiting for several positions in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, to prepare for its official entry into the Malaysian market in the future.
According to Tesla’s global recruitment website, the 10 positions Tesla recruits include Construction/Real Estate Project Manager, IT Desktop Support Technician, Recruiter, Project Developer – Home Charging, Delivery Operations Specialist, Consumer Engagement Manager, Order Operations Specialist, Tesla Advisor, Inside Sales Advisor and Store Manager/ Assistant Store Manager.
It is worth mentioning that Tesla’s global recruitment website shows that the work location is in Kuala Lumpur’s capital. Still, the exact address of their Malaysian company has yet to be discovered. Tengku Zafrul, Minister of International Trade and Industry (MITI), stated in March that MITI had approved Tesla’s application to import battery electric vehicles (BEVs) into Malaysia. In addition, Tengku Zafrul pointed out that Tesla will set up its headquarters, official experience centre, and service centre and build its Supercharger supercharging station in Malaysia.
