Many domestic banks’ online transfer systems were disrupted, and users were unable to make third-party transfers.

Users were unable to make third-party transfers because several domestic banks’ online transfer systems were disrupted.

Since the morning of September 12, many domestic banks have reportedly been unable to transfer money. Maybank, RHB, Public Bank, CIMB (CIMB), United Overseas Bank (UOB), and others are among the affected banks.

Users cannot smoothly send money to the other party while using the third-party transfer feature. Users did not encounter issues while sending money to the same bank, though.

The same issue affects services such as FPX and JomPay.

When a user sends money to a third party, they will receive information that the transaction was declined but that the money has already been taken out of their account. Most people anticipate that this has something to do with PayNet, a third-party money transfer service.

To prevent a similar circumstance, you might postpone any third-party transfer transactions you have planned.

At present, the domestic banks have not officially disclosed the reasons for the failure of the transfer.
