The government has announced the updated version of the Chinese New Year SOP.
According the the statement issued by the Ministry of National Solidarity Malaysia, up to 15 people can have a reunion dinner at the same table. Families that live within 10km can also be reunited to have the reunion dinner together, but is not allowed to cross states and countries.
In addition, the government has also formulated a SOP for praying on February 11th (New Year’s Eve), February 12th (New Year’s Day 1 ) and February 19th (New Year’s Day 8).
1. Temples are allowed to accomodate up to 30 people at the same time, each person must maintain a social distance and wear masks.
2. The duration of each pilgrimage is 30 minutes. After the 30-minute pilgrimage ceremony, a 30-minutes disinfection work mist be caried out before the next batch can enter.
3. The time of praying is from 6am to 2pm.
4. The ‘Bai Tian Gong’ ceremony on the evening of February 19th (the eighth day of new year) can be held in the courtyard of each home.
