Chinese love to use everything new for Chinese New Year, such as new clothes, new shoes, new furniture, new cars, and of course, new banknotes. To this end, major domestic banks will launch a new banknote exchange service before the Lunar New Year.
According to Maybank, the public can withdraw new banknotes/renewed banknotes from 19 January to 1 February at selected ATMs in the country.
Maybank will place new banknotes/renewed banknotes at ATMs in various states and regions in the country, and the public can go to nearby ATMs to withdraw new banknotes/renewed banknotes. The banknotes you can exchange include RM10 and RM50.
Maybank has a total of 89 ATMs in 75 districts offering new banknotes, with some ATMs offering only RM50 new banknotes and some ATMs offering only RM10 new banknotes.
