Unlimited Plans offered by domestic telecommunications companies (as at 24 July).

24/07/2022

Internet data plans offered by domestic telecommunications companies have become increasingly affordable, with unlimited data available for as little as RM20 per month.

All the telecom companies in Malaysia have launched Unlimited Plans, which claim to offer unlimited internet access, meaning that there is no traffic limit and users can surf and download as much as they want. However, as far as we know, these plans are not really Unlimited, but have traffic limits.

Here is an example of Celcom Unlimited RM35, which offers 3Mbps internet speed and unlimited dial-up to all networks. However, when the user uses 60GB of data, the speed will be reduced to 512kbps and will only be restored after the next month’s update.

Hotlink’s Unlimited package also restricts users to 50GB per month, once you exceed 50GB you may be limited to 512kbps, which will only be restored after the next month’s update.

TuneTalk’s Tune Unlimited package, which offers 6Mbps of unlimited data for RM48 per month, also has a traffic limit of up to 100GB of data per month.

Digi also offers Unlimited Data Plans, but not all customers can sign up for Unlimited Plans, which are only available to selected customers for a monthly fee of RM35 for 3Mbps.

Here’s a look at the Unlimited Plans of each telco, as at 24 July 2022.
