College students who successfully submit an application for a free tablet will get it by September.
College students who are approved for the free PerantiSiswa tablet will get it in September.
The Malaysian Tertiary Student Internet Access Device Project (PerantiSiswa), announced by the Minister of Communications and Multimedia Tan Sri Annuar Musa, will be carried out in two stages. About 100,000 applications were submitted for the first phase, and 60% of them made it beyond the initial screening.
Students who successfully apply for tertiary education will get their tablets in September. Distribution for Phase 2 will begin in October and end in November.
A Samsung Galaxy A8 tablet will be given to qualified college students. Along with the Samsung Galaxy A8 tablet, college students will also get a stylus, a Bluetooth keyboard, and a tablet case.
The government of Malaysia created PerantiSiswa, an assistance programme for tertiary students, to lessen the financial burden of studying for students from low-income families. College students from low-income families will be given tablets through this scheme. You may apply whether you are a student at a public or private college.
The application result can be viewed by tertiary students who have previously applied at https://perantisiswa.kkmm.gov.my/. Students in tertiary institutions who haven’t yet applied can do so by going to the same website. September 30, 2022 is the deadline for applications.
