Symptoms suddenly appeared a few days after discharge!
A community infection group broke out in Felda Sri Jaya, Bukit Serampang. A man suddenly felt difficulty breathing after a few days’ recoveries from illness and was confirmed by COVID-19 test. Nine members of his family and his younger brother’s family living next door were unfortunately infected.
The above nine confirmed cases come from two different families in Jalan Selamat. Yesterday, the Ministry of Health listed it as a community infection group and named it Kluster Jalan Selamat Tangkak.
According to the local residents’ interview with China Press today, the index patient of this infection group, that is, the 55-year-old local man, often goes in and out of the hospital because of his poor health, and only recently recovered and was discharged from hospital. It is understood that the man began to show symptoms of covid-19 several days after he returned home. After his family found that he was short of breath, he was immediately sent to the hospital for treatment. The man was diagnosed after being tested for covid-19, so his family suspected that he was infected in hospital.

Residents revealed that a total of 11 members of the man’s family and his brother’s family who lived next door were tested. Ten of them, including the index patient, had positive reports while one of the middle-aged man’s sons had a positive initial test report.
The covid 19 symptoms of the two families are both mild. At present, they are in home quarantine, and local organizations have distributed materials to them.
The Ministry of Health reported yesterday that the 55-year-old man developed symptoms of the covid-19 on the 1st of this month and was diagnosed on the 8th of this month. Authorities have screened 11 people and confirmed the diagnosis in 10th of this month
