‘Uncle Potato’ will contest as an independent in the Puchong seat in GE15.
Kuan Chee Heng, a social activist, has announced his intention to run as an independent candidate for the federal seat of Puchong in the forthcoming 15th General Election (GE15).
Kuan, also known as “Uncle Potato,” made the announcement via his Facebook page.
He is providing a different voice for the people of Puchong. He proposes himself modestly as an independent candidate in P103Puchong. Allow the people of Puchong to have a true voice.
Puchong residents have an other option. A voice capable of truly representing all of us.
Vote for someone who is approachable and can represent us as citizens to one another. Kuan first ran for office in the Semenyih by-election in 2019.
Kuan also stated his credentials in the advertisement, including his expertise as the leader of a Parent Teachers Association for over 14 years and so understanding the society’s need.
He is not a politician, but an ordinary citizen who realises that when Mak Cik Kiah does not have enough money to pay for her children’s bus fare, she does not have enough money to pay for her utilities, she needs an ambulance, and she needs a hospital bed, he has it.
Gobind Singh Deo, the DAP Selangor chairman, is the incumbent three-term MP for Puchong. Gobind will vacate the seat in order to run for re-election in Damansara, while incumbent Bakri MP Yeo Bee Yin will assume Gobind’s place in the 15th general election.
