Travelers to Brunei just need to do an antigen rapid test kit; no quarantine is required upon arrival.

Travellers who have recovered from Covid-19 within 90 days, including Sarawakians, are only required to complete an Antigen Rapid Test (ART) upon arrival in Brunei, as of April 1.

In a statement, the Ministry of Health Brunei said that, aside from being exempt from taking the Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) swab before leaving their home countries, the travellers would not be required to undergo mandatory self-isolation once they arrived in the sultanate.

“They are only required to undertake ART upon arrival in Brunei Darussalam, at a cost of B$20 per person,” it stated.

The Ministry of Health Brunei clarified the statement in an infographic shared by the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas): “Any individual who enters Brunei Darussalam and has been infected with Covid-19, as well as has evidence of infection such as a ‘Recovery Certificate’ with a validity period of not more than 90 days, therefore these individuals are exempted from being required to undergo RT-PCR swab-test before leaving,
