The latest tragedy in Colorado, USA, is truly heartbreaking. After seeing YouTube videos and desiring a simple and natural life away from society, a 42-year-old lady named Rebecca decided to embark on a wilderness survival expedition with her 41-year-old sister Christina and 14-year-old son. They set out to explore Colorado’s Gunnison National Forest, a popular natural tourism attraction.
What appeared to be a romantic journey, however, turned out to be a fatal catastrophe. After a year had gone, locals discovered their bodies at the campsite. Their remains had partially decomposed by that point, and the actual cause of death is still unknown.
The prosecutor’s first speculation implies that the three people died as a result of the hard winter cold and starvation last year.
Despite packing a lot of material about wilderness survival and food foraging, evidence collected at the scene implies that they didn’t use it. Instead, it appeared that they continued to eat store-bought food.
According to a relative, when the sisters’ decision to embark on a wilderness survival expedition was originally revealed to them, they voiced concern and offered to assist with camping supplies and a generator, but their offer was ignored.
What’s more alarming is that the sisters refused to reveal where they were going with other family members and acquaintances. As a result, the three of them vanished, and the terrible news was only recently revealed.
