Traffic Accident Involving Electric Car Attempting World Tour Record in Kuala Lumpur

03/08/2023

Recent @asrijanggut78 TikTok videos claim that an electric BYD vehicle was involved in a traffic collision in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. A couple was involved in the event as they attempted to break the record for driving the first electric vehicle around the globe. As part of their record-breaking expedition, they intended to drive the BYD electric vehicle through a number of nations, including Thailand, Laos, China, Europe, and Africa.

Unfortunately, they were involved in a traffic collision in Malaysia where their BYD electric vehicle crashed with the back of a blue Perodua Bezza, forcing them to abandon their “record-setting” goal.

The title of the TikTok video was “First EV car round the world accident in Kuala Lumpur.” Some comments from netizens mentioned that the couple’s electric car not only hit the Perodua Bezza but also collided with two other cars.

Many online users joked about the traffic in Malaysia in their comments after the video became popular. Others sarcastically noted that Malaysia is one of the most dangerous countries for driving, claiming that the country’s traffic conditions are so poor that even international drivers find it challenging to manage.

Some online users conjectured that the collision may have been brought on by the driver’s inattention or a mechanical problem with the vehicle. Others laughed that they hadn’t even seen Malaysia’s well-known “national car,” the Perodua Myvi, as the accident involved a simple model, the Perodua Bezza, and pondered how the pair could continue their global tour if they couldn’t even find their way through Malaysia.
