Another tradition is to congratulate the mouse on marrying a daughter, which is known as “mouse marriage.” The noodles are placed at the root of the wall on the tenth day of the first lunar month, and the name is “Congratulations to the mouse to marry the daughter.” Lamps, incense, and paper are lighted in numerous places throughout the house, including the corners and the water urn, and Shiga is married to the mouse. He is not allowed to light the lamp or speak at night in order to avoid disrupting the marriage and provoking the rat god, who will cause difficulty for a year.
Some places also prohibit the use of needles on the tenth day of the first lunar month, claiming that stitching on this day will induce pain because the fingers are linked to the heart.
