TNG has officially launched the Soundbox, which will broadcast payment information immediately after a customer uses a Touch ‘n Go eWallet to pay at a store.
According to TNG, the Touch ‘n Go eWallet Soundbox will be available for merchants to use immediately after a customer has swiped a code to pay.
The Touch ‘n Go eWallet Soundbox is available in two packages, one with a SIM card and one without a SIM card. The price of the SIM card package is RM139.50, which is RM59.50 for the Soundbox and RM80 for the SIM card package. The package without SIM card is RM59.50, which is the price of a single Soundbox.
If a merchant purchases a package without a SIM card, then the merchant can use the Soundbox to connect to WiFi. Merchants can also use their own SIM cards, but TNG encourages merchants to use the SIM cards provided by TNG.
Once a merchant receives the Soundbox, they can use it immediately without having to set it up themselves, and the Soundbox will broadcast payment notifications as soon as the customer scans the merchant’s payment QR code.
Interested merchants can order through Touch ‘n Go eWallet’s Merchant Dashboard, and only 500 copies are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
