TNG eWallet is back on the Apple App Store.
The Touch ‘n Go eWallet was unexpectedly removed from the Apple App Store! There are 2 possible reasons that lead to the removal of the APP !
The Touch ‘n Go eWallet recently added a feature to recharge the card using NFC, but the software was deleted from the Apple App Store shortly after it was released. As a result, many individuals believe that the NFC recharge feature violates the Apple App Store’s terms and conditions.
The Hong Kong Octopus Card, on the other hand, has the capability of recharging the physical card via NFC, and this APP is still available in the Apple App Store and has not been deleted.
GoPinjam is the second likely explanation for the Touch ‘n Go eWallet’s removal from the Apple App Store. In April, Touch ‘n Go eWallet introduced its GoPinjam personal loan service, which allows customers to borrow up to RM10,000 at interest rates ranging from 8% to 36% per year.
According to Apple’s App Store standards, any app that provides financial services must be submitted by the financial institution providing the service.
Now, the CIMB performing the service does not submit the GoPinjam for the Touch ‘n Go eWallet, which may contradict the App Store’s rules and restrictions.
In any event, Touch ‘n Go eWallet has stated that it will continue to study the issue and resolve it as soon as possible.
