TnG eWallet update: Any credit card funds added will not be transferable to a friend!

25/03/2022

The official announcement of TnG eWallet states that from now on, the amount of money that will be transferred through TnG eWallet will be divided into non-transferable and non-transferable balances depending on the user’s top-up method!

According to the recently updated FAQ on the official TnG eWallet website, all amounts recharged via credit card will be classified as non-transferable balances and cannot be transferred to friends’ and family’s e-wallets or to TnG GO+, but can only be spent! If you want to transfer money, you have to do it through online banking or purchase a TnG reload pin to be classified as a transferable balance!

This also means that in the future, any TnG eWallet amount that is topped up by credit card can only be used for consumption, and can no longer be topped up by credit card and put into a GO+ account and then cash out as cash, as it is now!

However, the TnG eWallet announcement also states that when spending money, TnG eWallet will give priority to spending money that cannot be transferred. Only when the balance of the non-transferable amount is insufficient will the transferable amount be used for the transaction!
