TM is no longer offering Streamyx or plans that have been renamed Unifi Lite. It is understood that Telekom Malaysia (TM) has phased out Streamyx from 2019 and renamed Streamyx to Unifi Lite. Now Unifi Lite will no longer provide new user subscriptions!
This means that neither residential nor business users can sign up for Streamyx or Unifi Lite plans. Users only have two options, Fibre and Air. Streamyx and Unifi Lite packages have disappeared from TM’s official website, only Fibre and Air packages are available.
Although TM no longer offers Streamyx or Unifi Lite to new users, existing users can still use Streamyx and Unifi Lite as usual. Now new users only have Unifi Fibre and Unifi Air or Unifi Mobile to choose from.
Regions that already have fiber coverage will be able to sign up for Unifi Fibre, while regions without fiber coverage will be able to sign up for Unifi Air or Unifi Mobile. Unifi Air or Unifi Mobile is a wireless way to provide network services. As of July 2021, there are still 173,000 users using Streamyx services across Malaysia.
