He was in the northern Indian city of Dharamsala for a special event. Can I give you a hug? A little kid walked up to the stage and asked the Dalai Lama. He allowed the kid to kiss him on the cheek in addition to promising to give him a hug. The Dalai Lama then said to the little kid, “Suck my tongue,” before sticking out his tongue and forcing the boy to suck!
Because of this incident, people from every area of life began an awareness drive, and he publicly apologized for it. Through an apology posted to his official Twitter account, the Dalai Lama expressed regret to the young child and his family. He hoped to apologize for any harm he may have caused and conveyed his sincere regret for starting the incident.
