According to the weather forecast issued by the Meteorological Department at 3.35pm on 26 March, thunderstorms are expected to occur in 12 areas of the country and are expected to continue until 6pm.
The areas affected include Perlis, Kedah, Perak, Pahang, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Negeri Sembilan, Malacca, Johor, Sabah and parts of Sarawak.
People are urged to avoid roads that are prone to lightning and flooding and to carry rain gear when you go out to avoid thunderstorms that may disrupt your schedule.
