While travelling from Kuala Selangor to Tanjung Karang, a three-vehicle collision at Jalan Bernam resulted in the death of one person.
According to Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar, assistant director of the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department, the accident happened on Sunday, December 17, at approximately ten o’clock at night.
When reached on Monday (Dec. 18), he noted that two of the automobiles each had two occupants, while one car was transporting four individuals.
At 10.05 p.m., firefighters received a distress call and hurried to the area.
Two casualties, a man and a woman, had been taken from one car by onlookers when they got there.
“The male was declared dead at the spot, while the woman had injuries to her jaw and a fractured left foot.
Ahmad Mukhlis said, “His body has been turned over to police for a post-mortem.”
In addition, the drivers and occupants of the other two vehicles were hospitalised after suffering various degrees of injury.
