These 4 mobile phone apps have been found to be “stealing your money”! Check if you have downloaded them!

11/07/2022

I’m sure you’ve seen many people on social media recently complaining that their money has suddenly disappeared. The reason why your bank account was stolen is probably because you accidentally clicked on an unknown website, downloaded an unknown mobile app, got an unknown call, etc.

According to Pradeo, four malicious apps have been found in  Google Play Store. Once users download these apps, the apps will secretly help them subscribe to some unwanted paid services, and they will only know that their money has been stolen when they receive their monthly bill! The four malicious apps found on Android are a type of “Fleeceware” that is hard to detect.

The scary thing about these four apps is that once the user has downloaded and given permission, the app will subscribe to services that the user does not use and has to pay for without notice, allowing the user to automatically spend a sum of money that will not be discovered until the user receives bill! In addition, two of the apps also skip the authentication process and obtain one-time SMS passwords by intercepting notifications, reading SMS newsletters and screenshots, so it is almost impossible for users to detect.

All 4 apps have now been taken down from the Google Play Store, so if you have downloaded one of the 4, you need to delete it now! Avoid having your money stolen~
