There will be 4 to 6 rainstorms in the next 3 months

From November this year to March next year will be the northeast monsoon season, during which there will be four to six downpours and major flooding may occur.

According to the Chinapress , quoting the director-general of the Meteorological Department, Malaysia will enter the northeast monsoon season in November, Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang will have heavy rainfall between November and December. Johor, Sabah and Sarawak will have heavy rainfall from December to January next year.

The West Malaysia Peninsula and the East Coast will see the highest rainfall in November and December, with Kelantan and Terengganu expected to receive slightly above average rainfall, that is between 450 and 1,000 mm.

Rainfall will be at an average level from January to March next year, except for the inland and western parts of Sarawak and also the eastern parts of Sabah where rainfall is slightly higher, between 350 and 950 mm.

The fourth quarter of the year is the rainy season and everyone must be vigilant and avoid areas where flooding is a frequent occurrence.
