Weeding is a great extra job as well!
A 29 year old man with a degree in technology from Sultan Idris Shah Institute of Technology is employed as a private company secretary and weeder on the side. He doesn’t feel bad about supporting his family with his work as a lawnmower, though.
Mohd Shafiq, a Malaysian who is 29 years old, received his degree from the Sultan Idris Shah Institute of Technology’s Environment Department. Mohd Shafiq is currently in his fourth year of working as a part-time weeder. His aim is to provide for his wife and kids a better life.
When Mohd Shafiq’s parents separated when he was 13 years old and he was living with relatives and learning how to support himself, the work began.
Mohd Shafiq was inspired by this and continued to offer weeding services while being well compensated and supported by his wife and family.
The difficulty of doing part time weeding, according to Mohd Shafiq, is that there is no way for him to spend more time with his family because, in addition to his full-time job, his free time has been devoted to part time weeding. However, Mohd Shafiq stated that weeding a family, which takes about 3–4 hours, might pay him between RM70 and RM100.
