There are also more advantages to studying abroad besides earning a globally recognised certification.
It must be the dream of many people to study abroad. However, we can never completely escape reality’s different punches, with the cost of studying abroad ranking as its most significant one. But did you know that there are several job chances for students who study abroad? Now let assess your work options while studying abroad so that you can lower the expense of your studies!
1. Partial international study
American and British students are permitted to work 20 hours per week of part-time employment, but Australian students are permitted to work up to 40 hours each two-week period. On the final vacation, there are longer working hours available. As a result, a lot of overseas students have part-time jobs in their free time to pay for living expenses or save money for things like travel and hobbies. Additionally, students develop their speaking skills, integrate into the community, and exercise their skills.
2. Post Study Work VISA
International students from Australia with graduate work visas are eligible for at least two years of legal work experience. An up to 4-year graduate work visa is available to Ph.D. candidates. British graduates who have successfully completed their PhD studies can apply to stay in the UK for 3 years to work and stay, while British international students who have successfully completed an undergraduate or master’s degree can do the same for 2 years.
3. Optional Practical Training (OPT)
For the vast majority of American overseas students, the ability to participate in optional practical training is a rare chance to work or practise in the US. U.S. graduates with an F-1 student visa who finish at least a 9-month undergraduate degree programme are eligible for 12 months of practical training. You can apply to extend the OPT period to 24 months if you major in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM).
