This morning, about 40 evacuees in flood-affected Baling.
As of 8 a.m. today, two flood relief facilities (PPS) in the Baling district were housing a total of 41 victims from 12 families.
According to Kedah Civil Defence Force (CDF) Disaster Management Committee Secretariat chief Mejar (PA) Mohd Muaz Mohd Yusoff, five villages in the district have experienced flooding as a result of heavy rain that began yesterday evening.
Kampung Rambong Batu, Kampung Bendang Sera, Kampung Jernang, Kampung Seratus, and Kampung Tanjung Langsat are the five settlements involved.
Eight households totaling 24 victims have been relocated to Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Tengku Habsah, and another four families totaling 17 victims have been transferred to Dewan Tun Abdul Razak.
Up till now, Baling’s weather has been cloudy.
