These 38 apps reportedly include the harmful advertising program HiddenAds. Both large-scale malicious advertising programs, like the one called Goldoson that was previously identified, sneakily load advertisements without the user’s knowledge in order to steal advertising income. There were 35 million hacked users.
The report further stated that HiddenAds won’t display any ads at all and will function invisibly in the background. Users’ regular mobile phone use won’t be impacted, and there are no issues with personal data leaking. Although the damage is not as severe as with Goldoson, mobile phone speeds will decrease due to overheating, program breakdowns, and even random crashes.
In considering this, it is advised to delete the questioned app from the user’s mobile device if the situation described above is similar.
