Coinciding with International Women’s Day on March 8, Samsung announced the opening of its first offline store in India staffed entirely by women, not only to coincide with International Women’s Day celebrations, but also as part of the # PoweringDigitalIndia initiative.
Samsung is excited to open its first all-female offline store in India and is confident in the possibilities that Samsung’s women’s team will bring, said Ken Kang, president and CEO of Samsung Southwest Asia, in a statement. Samsung’s Ken Kang said Samsung is focused on increasing the number of women in its workplace and hopes to develop the company’s next generation of female leaders through its various gender-friendly programs.
