Qatar World Cup starts tonight!
The 2022 World Cup in Qatar will begin at 12 a.m. Malaysia time on November 20, 2022! The first game will pit Qatar against Ecuador. The game will be broadcast live on Malaysian television (RTM).
Because of the 5-hour time difference between Qatar and Malaysia, the majority of World Cup matches will take place between the evening and early morning Malaysia time. Group matches begin at 6:00 p.m., 9:00 p.m., 12:00 a.m., and 3:00 a.m. Malaysia time, while knockout matches begin at 12:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. Malaysia time.
It is important to note that the World Cup in Qatar will feature 32 teams. This is also the final World Cup before the tournament is expanded to 48 teams. The next World Cup will feature 48 teams from around the world.
You can watch the World Cup live online at https://rtmklik.rtm.gov.my/live/tv2. This is the Malaysian state-run television station’s (RTM) online viewing platform, but it is only available to Malaysians. You won’t be able to watch properly if you’re abroad or using a VPN.
