The TNG eWallet will also include a restriction that an account can only be logged in on one device at a time.

According to Touch ‘n Go eWallet, the e-wallet will follow the guidelines issued by Bank Negara to protect users’ rights and deposits. This will be Malaysia’s first e-wallet platform to implement similar security measures.

In the first quarter of 2023, Touch ‘n Go eWallet will implement five measures, including replacing SMS OTP with a more secure verification method, tightening detection measures for suspicious transactions, and implementing a cooling-off period when logging in to an account with a new device.

Furthermore, Touch ‘n Go eWallet will implement measures to allow users to log in with a single account on a single device. Touch ‘n Go eWallet will also establish a hotline where users can report scams.

Touch ‘n Go eWallet will implement new security measures.

1. Replace SMS OTP with a more secure verification method.

2. Tighten the detection measures for suspicious transactions.

3. Implement a cooling-off period when logging in to an account with a new device.

4. Implement measures to log in with one account on one device.

5. Launch a hotline for users to complain when encountering fraud.
