The three-week-long final school holidays are over and the new school year starts from March 21 for primary and secondary schools in the country, so when does the next long school holiday fall?
The new 2022/2023 school year for primary and secondary schools begins on Monday, March 21, and students will have another 9-day Eid school holiday after a month and a half of classes. Primary and secondary schools will be on Eid school holidays from April 29/30 to May 7/8.
Eid al-Fitr in 2022 is expected to fall on May 3 and 4. Schools will be closed from April 29 or 30 until May 7 or 8, for a total of 9 days of holidays. 9 days of holidays are inclusive of Labor Day holidays, Eid holidays and weekly vacations.

Group A: Kedah, Johor, Kelantan and Terengganu
Eid al-Fitr school holiday: Friday, April 29 – Saturday, May 7
Group B: Perlis, Penang, Perak, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Malacca, Pahang, Sabah, Sarawak, Kuala Lumpur, Labuan and Putrajaya
Eid al-Fitr School Holiday: April 30 (Saturday) – May 8 (Sunday)
