The Selangor Government will launch Selangor e-Wallet in 2022!
Selangor Minister Dato’ Seri Amirudin revealed in his presentation of the Selangor budget for 2022 that Selangor’s own e-wallet, the Selangor e-Wallet, will be launched in 2022.
Syarikat Selangor e-Wallet Sdn Bhd will be responsible for organizing and handling Selangor e-Wallet related matters. The Selangor State government will cooperate with a local company approved by the Bank Negara.
Selangor e-Wallet will be a Super APP. Users can use Selangor e-Wallet to pay for local government-related fees, such as parking fees, license renewal fees, etc. The government will also issue aid and rewards to disadvantaged and low-income groups through Selangor e-Wallet.
Users can also use Selangor e-Wallet to pay and trade during online shopping or store consumption.
