Due to a cycling event, the Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah Bridge will be closed from 10 p.m. on Friday, December 22, to 3 a.m. on Saturday, December 23.
In a statement released on Monday, December 18, Jambatan Kedua Sdn Bhd stated that the closure was necessary for the PDRM 2nd Bridge 2023 Solitary Fun Ride, a 54-kilometer course that would see cyclists traverse the bridge.
“From Friday night until early Saturday morning, the bridge will be blocked.
“It will open and operate as usual after the end of the cycling event,” it stated.
It is recommended that drivers heed all posted warnings and directions and utilise the Penang Bridge as a diversion.
