According to a tweet by Ming Chi Kuo, a well-known tipster, only the Pro version of the Apple iPhone 14 series will be equipped with the A16 Bionic chip, while the regular iPhone 14 series phones will retain the Apple A15 Bionic chip currently in use!
The iPhone 14 is expected to come in two sizes, the 6.1-inch iPhone 14 and the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Max, both of which will retain the iPhone 13’s A15 Bionic chip and use slower LPDDR4X memory. iPhone 14 Pro will also come in two sizes, the 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro and the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max. These two models will be equipped with the new A16 Bionic chip and LPDDR5 memory!
There is also news that Apple will not release the iPhone 14 mini, so if you like the mini version, the iPhone 13 will be the last series with mini specifications.
If the above information is true, this will be the first time that Apple does not change the chip for a new generation, but also 10 years of using a different chip to distinguish between the flagship and the top version!
