Great news! From today, you can travel for free on the LRT, MRT, BRT, Monorail, and RapidKL buses!
In conjunction with the opening of the MRT2, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri announced that the public will be able to use RapidKL’s public transportation for free for the next month!
Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), Light Rail Transit (LRT), Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), Monorail, and RapidKL Bus are the free public transportation.
Phase 1 of the MRT2 project was completed and opened to traffic on June 16, 2022, at 3 p.m., while Phase 2 is expected to open to traffic in January 2023. Phase 1 includes 12 stations totaling 17.5 kilometres in length.
