The pandemic is getting more and more serious in Malaysia, where the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in a single day rose to 27,179 on February 22, reporting an increase of 27,179 cases. According to the COVIDNOW website, 20,7059 of the new cases were local cases, while the remaining 120 were imported cases. Currently, the total number of confirmed cases in the country is 3,273,958.
Seeing the increasing severity of the disease, Health Minister Khairy posted a video on Tik Tok, urging people to closely monitor their own situation during the quarantine and urging the public to self-quarantine as soon as any symptoms appear and to conduct self-help testing!
In the video, Khairy said that if people find themselves diagnosed, they must upload to MySejahtera and update their health status regularly in the Health Assessment Tool within the app. In addition, he said people need to monitor their condition closely during the quarantine.
“If your condition worsens and you experience difficulty breathing, decreased blood oxygen, and chest tightness, contact or go to an adjacent medical site for treatment immediately.“
Finally, in this short 57-second video, Khairy also instructs the nation to implement the TRIIS principles of Test, Report, Isolate, Inform, and Seek; and to always wear a mask.
