As of 8 a.m. on Monday, December 4, the number of flood victims in Kelantan had increased to 4,530 from 1,462 households, up from 4,398 from 1,405 families the previous evening.
All victims are currently seeking refuge in 12 assistance shelters located in Pasir Mas and Tanah Merah, according to the Social Welfare Department’s Info Bencana webpage.
SK Gual To’Deh, Rantau Panjang, which houses 813 victims from 264 families, SK Gual Tinggi, Rantau Panjang, (898 victims from 293 families), SMK Baroh Pial, Rantau Panjang, (634 victims from 225 families), SMK (Agama) Lati, (88 victims from 23 families), and Mukim Padang Licin Mosque (116 victims from 45 families) are among the 11 relief centres currently in operation in Pasir Mas.
The other ones are SMK Gual Periok (153 victims from 41 families), SK Sri Rantau Panjang 2 (711 victims from 243 families), SK Chicha Tinggi (261 victims from 72 families), SK Gual Periok (269 victims from 79 families), and SK Gual Periok (345 victims from 107 families).
Nineteen victims from eight families are housed in the Padang Kijang community facility in Tanah Merah.
Sungai Golok in Pasir Mas is currently at the danger level (9.97 metres), according to the Public InfoBanjir webpage, while Sungai Golok in Kuala Jambu, Tumpat is at the warning level (2.30 metres).
