The number of flood evacuees in Johor continues to fall.

This morning, the number of flood evacuees in Johor continued to fall, while the situation in Sabah remained unchanged.

In Johor, the number of evacuees has decreased to 670 from 769 at 8 p.m. yesterday.

According to the State Disaster Management Committee (JPBN), there are 644 people from 179 families in five relief centres in Batu Pahat, which is still inundated by stagnant floodwaters, and 26 people from nine families in one centre in Segamat.

Meanwhile, with a reading of 18.9 metres, Sungai Bekok in Batu Pahat remains above the danger level.

The weather in Batu Pahat was reported to be clear, while it was raining in Segamat.

According to the Sabah JPBN, the situation in Sabah remained unchanged, with 134 people from 40 families still housed in one relief centre in Beaufort.

This morning’s weather in Sabah was reported to be sunny.
