There are more evacuees from Batu Pahat flash flood.
As of 12 o’clock yesterday, there were 263 flash flood victims in this district as opposed to the 255 people who were reported as victims as of 15th September.
Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Sri Gading served as a temporary evacuation centre for a total of 74 households.
Residents of Taman Sri Panchor, Kampung Sengkuang, Kampung Baru Sri Gading, Pekan Sri Gading, and Kampung Seri Tanjung make up the entirety of the evacuated population.
Following persistent heavy rain from 1.30am to 5.30am on Wednesday, along with the high tide phenomenon, flash floods occurred in five sites.
Except for Kampung Baru Sri Gading, where the water is standing still, several of the impacted areas have started to see a decrease in water levels. The weather is getting better, though.
