The number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Malaysia has reached a total of 3 million, which means that 1 in every 10 people has suffered from coronary artery disease.

According to the data issued by the Director-General of Health, Tan Sri Noor Hisham, as of February 11, there were 22,802 new confirmed cases in Malaysia, making a total of 3,019,163 confirmed cases.

Malaysia has a total population of 32.37 million and today there are 3,019,163 confirmed cases of coronary artery disease in the country, which means that on average 1 in 10 people have suffered from Covid-19.

Health Minister Khairy noted that the number of confirmed cases in the country has exceeded 20,000 on a single day, and may reach 30,000 cases. Khairy revealed that last year, during the Delta variant of the virus, the number of people seen in intensive care units was 1,500 when there were 30,000 cases diagnosed in a single day, while the current number of people seen in intensive care units is only 150.

Khairy pointed out that Omicron did not come deadly than Delta, the reason is that our vaccine coverage is 99%, so most of the patients infected with Omicron are in the first and second stages, as long as the self-isolation at home can be cured.
