The new 2023 Perodua Axia with prices starting at RM38,600.
According to Perodua Malaysia, the 2023 Perodua Axia is now available for booking. This means that the Perodua Axia will be available in Malaysian showrooms soon.
Perodua Axia has four car models in 2023, namely the 1.0G, 1.0X, 1.0SE, and 1.0AV, all of which have automatic transmissions and no models with manual transmissions.
According to unofficial information, the Axia 1.0G costs RM38,600, the Axia 1.0X costs RM40,000, the Axia 1.0SE costs RM44,000, and the Axia 1.0AV costs RM49,500. If this price is accurate, it means that the Perodua Axia’s price has risen significantly. The manual model used to cost between RM33,490 and RM43,190.
The 2023 Perodua Axia is equipped with a D-CVT gearbox, as previously revealed on the Internet, but Perodua did not specify which engine powers the 2023 Perodua Axia. According to Internet rumour, the 2023 Perodua Axia will continue to be powered by a 1.0L three-cylinder naturally aspirated engine rather than a turbocharged engine.
The 1.0G and 1.0X consume 25.3KM/L without Power Mode Drive, while the 1.0SE and 1.0AV consume 27.4KM/L (when using the automatic stop and start function) and support Power Mode Drive. The 1.0G and 1.0X continue to use halogen bulb headlights, while the 1.0SE and 1.0AV have LED headlights and daytime running lights.
The function of automatically folding the left and right rearview mirrors is supported by 1.0SE and 1.0AV. The 1.0AV also has a 9-inch touch-screen head unit, whereas the other models only have an audio head unit. The 1.0G, 1.0X, and 1.0SE have single-color velvet seats, while the 1.0AV has semi-leather and velvet seats.
The 1.0AV is expected to have lane departure warning, lane departure assist, side blind spot detection, automatic emergency braking, and 6 airbags. ABS anti-lock braking system, VSC vehicle dynamic stability system, HSA hill start assist, and other features will be standard on all models.
