An unidentified foreign multi-millionaire described his life as “pretending to be poor,” claiming to be an entrepreneur with tens of millions of dollars in assets. He earns a good living, but his family and friends frequently utilize it as a “cash machine.”
Not only does the man live in a poor condominium and wear old clothing, but he also falsely claims to be unemployed because to the pandemic, and not even his family is aware of his financial status.
Every time his parents came to visit, he was required to cover all of the travel costs, which led the author to conclude that “They Don’t Really Care About Me, they Just want to enjoy a free vacation, I’m a tour guide and cash machine” based on his comments and actions. In addition, the family asked him to help his siblings pay their tuition fees and to buy them gifts when they visited. This made him feel like a “cash machine,” and his heart started to become more and more out of balance, so he decided to draw a line and gradually cut off contact with his family.
When family and friends come to visit, he will rent an empty flat and instruct his helper to prepare used clothing, toiletries and other items while acting as though he is living in hardship. Since then, neither his family nor himself will beg him for money.
