According to Health Minister, the childhood coronavirus vaccination program will start at the end of January, and children aged 5 to 11 will be vaccinated.
At present, the National Medicines Regulatory Agency (NPRA) has approved a vaccine for children aged 5 to 11 years, namely the Pfizer/COMIRNATY vaccine, at a dose of 10mcg. The volume of the vaccine for children is one-third that of the adult vaccine, and the medicinal properties (Kekuatan) are also lower.
Neighboring Singapore began to vaccinate children aged 5 to 11 with Pfizer on December 27 last year, while Indonesia has also vaccinated children aged 6 to 11 from December 14, and China has also vaccinated children over 3 years old. Children are vaccinated against Covid-19.
The public is urged to respond positively to the vaccination, and adults who are eligible for the booster shot are also urged to arrive on time for their appointment to receive the booster shot.
