People aged 40 years or older can start receiving the booster!
According to Health Minister Khairy, people aged 40 years or older will be notified of booster appointments for the Newcastle pneumonia vaccine. Priority will also be given to those with co-morbidities.
Eligible individuals will be notified by MySejahtera and are urged to check their MySejahtera frequently to avoid missing booster appointments. People are also urged to attend the booster vaccination on time.
The booster vaccination has been implemented since the beginning of October, and priority is given to those aged 60 years or older. It is known that about 40% of the elderly are absent from booster vaccination appointments.
Currently, the Ministry of Health has only approved the Pfizer vaccine as a booster, and the first two doses of the Sinovac vaccine will also be administered as a booster.
