Patients with Covid-19 may have sequelae within 12 weeks of recovery, according to information released by Malaysia’s Ministry of Health, and some patients may experience sequelae that persist longer.
Common sequelae of COVID-19 include lethargy, difficulty breathing during activities, difficulty sleeping at night, coughing, and restlessness. Sequelae can also occur in the respiratory, head, cardiovascular, cutaneous, psychological, gastrointestinal, musculoskeletal, and musculoskeletal.
The sequelae of coronavirus that appear in the head include poor memory, difficulty concentrating, headache, sleep disturbance, peripheral neuropathy, dizziness, and confusion. Respiratory sequelae include dyspnea and frequent coughing.
Chest tightness, chest pain, and palpitations are among cardiovascular side effects. Symptoms of gastrointestinal disorders include abdominal pain, nausea, diarrhea, anorexia, and loss of appetite. Following healing, patients may feel joint and muscle pain.
In addition, skin rashes, tinnitus, ear pain, sore throat, and loss of taste and smell are all sequelae of COVID-19. Many patients experience depression and anxiety after recovery.
