The Ministry of Health encourages people aged 50 or above to get AZ as a booster dose!
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Health, people who are 18 years of age or older can receive booster doses from today, but the Ministry of Health will give priority to older people to get booster doses using the age-decreasing method. Older people will get the booster dose earlier, while younger people need to wait patiently.
Whether you were vaccinated with Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Sinovac, Sinopharm, or CanSino vaccine, the Ministry of Health encourages people aged 50 or above to take AstraZeneca (AZ) as a booster dose. People can also choose which booster they want to vaccinate.
Those who have received Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Sinopharm, Moderna, Cansino, or Johnson & Johnson vaccines before can choose Pfizer or AstraZeneca as booster doses. As for those who have previously received the Sinovac vaccine, they can choose Sinovac, Pfizer, or AstraZeneca as booster doses.
The Ministry of Health encourages people who have previously received the Sinovac vaccine to choose the Pfizer vaccine as a booster for better protection. The public is urged to ask medical staff about the brand of the booster shot before vaccination.
