The Ministry of Education announced the postponement of reopening for 113 schools

The Ministry of Education announced that 113 schools will be postponed for school reopening!

According to the Ministry of Education of Malaysia on January 3, there are still 113 schools affected by the floods or used as temporary evacuation centers. Studies in these schools have been postponed. Other unaffected schools will need to start classes on January 9 or 10.

Schools in Johor, Terengganu, Kelantan, and Kedah will start classes on January 9th (Sunday), while other states need to start classes on January 10th (Monday). 113 schools can start classes later.

Of the 113 schools affected, 16 primary schools and 2 secondary schools are still affected by the floods, 87 schools are used as temporary evacuation centers, and 8 schools are not ready to start classes yet. The Ministry of Education will announce the list of affected schools every Wednesday.

Among the 113 schools, most of the schools affected are in Johor, Pahang, Sabah, Malacca, and Negeri Sembilan.
